Privacy Policy

The short version. You can read everything on Sacred Atlas without an account. We serve no advertising and sell nothing to anyone. We measure page views with Google Analytics, our server keeps ordinary logs, and if you create an account, subscribe to email or send us a message, we keep what you gave us so the feature works. That is all of it.

Who runs this

Sacred Atlas is operated by Freedom Games LLC (indie.io). Questions, corrections and removal requests go through the contact form.

What we collect

We never ask for payment details, and we do not ask for your real name or address.

Cookies and local storage

Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits and tell a returning reader from a new one.
If you sign in, a login token is kept in your browser so you stay signed in.
Your browser’s local storage holds small preferences, such as your chosen translation or language. That never leaves your device.

Blocking cookies does not stop you reading. Only signing in depends on them.

Advertising

Sacred Atlas currently serves no advertising and runs no advertising trackers. If that changes, this page will be updated before any ads appear.

Who we share it with

Nobody, other than the services that make the site work: Google Analytics for measurement, our hosting provider, and our email provider for mail you asked to receive. We do not sell or rent data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Your choices

Ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it (including your whole account), via the contact form.
Unsubscribe from any email using the link in that email.
Opt out of analytics with any content blocker or Google’s own opt-out add-on.
If you are in the EU, UK or California, you have rights of access, correction and deletion under the GDPR or CCPA. Use the same form and we will action it.

Children

Sacred Atlas is a general reference library and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them, and accounts are for readers 13 and over.

Where data is held

Our servers are in the United States. If you use Sacred Atlas from outside the United States, what you send us will be stored there.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
